A ROCKY MOUNTAIN PUBLIC LIBRARY MEETING ROOM POLICY
The Rocky Mountain Public Library meeting rooms are designed and intended to support Library programs and services. As an expression of its mission, the Library also makes these meeting rooms available to members of the community for the presentation and exchange of information and opinions of all kinds. All meetings and programs held in the Library are open to the general public and offered without charge. By making a meeting room available as a forum, the Library does not sponsor or endorse any group’s policies, views or beliefs.
The following priorities are used to schedule the meeting spaces: First is to support Library needs and the Library reserves the right to cancel confirmed reservations to accommodate Library sponsored events. and Second
The Library Board of Trustees or Officers of the Library support groups - Friends of the Library and the Library Foundation - may reserve and use Library meeting rooms for Executive Sessions that, by law, are not open to the public.
All groups using a meeting room agree to hold the Rocky Mountain Public Library District harmless from any loss, damage, liability, costs, or expense that may result from their use of the room.
The Library staff has the right to enter any reserved meeting room at any time and for any purpose and further reserves the right, although does not assume a duty, to eject any objectionable person or persons from the Library premises. Use of the premises may be terminated at any time if the conduct of the group, or any member of the group, is disruptive to Library service, abusive or dangerous to the building, Library materials, exhibits, furnishings or individuals in the building.
The Library reserves the right to take photographs of events for its own records and for future promotional materials.
